On August 9, 1998, a child lost a father and a wife lost a
husband. Those were the most important results of what happened on a
highway in Alabama. Of lesser importance but not diminished, the
world of drag racing lost a competitor, a gentleman,
a true champion, and a friend.

I just want
to say thanks to everyone for the kind words that you've
shared with us through this site. Christina and I are
doing well. As many of you have heard I have been a
student for the past two years. I will be graduating
with a degree in Management Information Systems in
August of this year. It has been a difficult time but
has been made easier knowing that so many people have
been cheering us on.
